Careers in transition: The term ‘mid-life crisis’ often implies a reason to be weary of an impending emotional doom on our 40th birthday. Many workers can be seen behaving as if they are a victim to this inevitable, undesirable vicissitude.
However, according to contemporary career experts, the yearnings of mid-life are essential to reconnecting with our authentic selves. Imperative career shifts and family decisions often occur at mid-life. Many long-time employees start their own businesses, and fathers decide to spend more time with their families, as more mid-life crises evolve into valuable career changes.
