Green jobs to spark ailing economy

Careers in the news: ‘Going green’ might not only save the planet, it may also help salvage our nation’s faltering job market.  Green collar jobs are up 45% from 1995 to 2008.  While this industry is too small to completely inflate the drooping economy, productivity in this area is projected to heal our nation’s fiscal woes exponentially.

Luckily for those who are not 35-years-old, living in Los Angeles, and driving a Prius, there still might be a place for you in the green industry.  Electricians and carpenters are as much part of the environmental sector as their younger and much ‘hipper’ cousins; energy auditors and solar photovoltaic installers.  There is a place for everyone on the green veldt – and both animals and long-time job seekers are thankful.
