Obama shares plans to increase employment, create jobs

Careers in the news: In world economic news, President Obama shares his plans to increase employment in the US.

During his speech at the Brookings Institution, Obama divulged three primary methods to overturn our jobless nation.

Obama put the most emphasis on the need for growth within the small business sector.  And although republicans disagree with his intentions to spend left-over Wall Street bail-out money to generate small businesses (they would rather leave this to Adam Smith’s invisible hand), both parties are in accordance that we cannot win this battle without business salubrity.

Secondly, Obama discussed fixing our nation’s deteriorating infrastructure as a means to increase jobs.  One cannot listen to this aspect of Obama’s proposal without conjuring fond images of proud men in muddy coveralls hard at work under FDR’s famed New Deal.  That plan created a lot of jobs for Americans in the 1930s, and we can only hope that Obama’s contemporary model will do the same.

And lastly, President Obama discussed spending left-over bail-out funds to provide affordable health insurance to the unemployed masses.

The outcome of President Obama’s three-part plan will hold dire significance to unemployed workers across the country, waiting and hoping for some sort of change.
