A-Rod completes career circle with World Series ring

Careers in the News: The New York Yankees won their 27th World Series Championship on Wednesday night, defeating the Philadelphia Phillies in the sixth game of their seven game series.  For most of us civilians, it seems counterintuitive, even absurd, to think of the lionized Yankees star Alex Rodriguez as simply an employee of the organization.  Despite his fame though, Rodriguez is a worker with a job like the rest of society, and he is elated to be adding this win to his resume.  Rodriguez has faced jubilation and adversity over his career with the Yankees; the worst being recent charges of steroid use being made public at the beginning to this year’s season.  Now, with a historic World Series win to add to his professional artillery of 583 home runs and three MVP awards, Alex Rodriquez has established himself as on of baseball’s all-time greats.
