Careers in Transition: Since there rarely are sets of circumstances that are “ideal” for a career change, experts recommend relinquishing the pessimistic complaints about the time being wrong and taking the leap to pursue a career transition – after all, now is as good a time as ever.

You could say that about all walks of life, but yes, I agree it’s particularly true in this instance. Whether it’s the time of year, the economic climate, or your personal circumstances there is no perfect time. So you’ve just got to bite the bullet and see what you get for your efforts! I’d always recommend being prepared though – eg. don’t leave one job until the next is lined up (I’m often amazed by how many people do just “jump” without thinking things through at all).
