Careers in Transition: Scrounging around at a yard sale blossomed into a thriving e-commerce business for one military wife based in Alabama. With a chronically ill husband on disability and five children, Kathy Simpson knew that survival was dependent on her eBay business taking off. Today she houses her goods in a warehouse, and has become quite savvy within the online retail sector. She advertises on Facebook and Twitter and uploads items in ten minutes; a task that once took her an hour. Although she works long hours, she enjoys being able to conduct business and make money from anywhere and anytime, as long as she has her laptop.
